Hope. Home. Family.
Hello my name is Victoria Ocana, I used to live at Hope House. Hope House became my home and still is my home, even though I don’t live there anymore.
I previously had nowhere to live, My last option was to leave Mexico and cross the border every morning for me to be able to fulfill my education. The last shelter I was in closed down. There was no other shelter I could go to.
But then Pastor Pete, would go where I lived before to teach the Word God and he heard that some kids had no place to go. He opened Hope House for us. Who knows what would have become of me if Pastor Pete wouldn’t have opened Hope House.
Hope House is not like any other program and I can say that because I have lived in other shelters before. I felt I was loved by Hope House, and the community of the church.
While I was living there I met great people who helped me find myself.
